On August 4, 2024, the city of Sebnitz drew attention to itself with an informative and creative booth at the ‘Open Government Quarter Day’ of the Saxon State Chancellery.
As part of this event, which attracted numerous visitors, Sebnitz presented initial information about the ‘Tag der Sachsen’ (Day of the Saxons), which will take place in the silk flower city in 2025. Flower girl Leonie also advised visitors about the diverse activities and leisure opportunities in our city and its districts.
A special highlight of the Sebnitz booth was the invitation for visitors to become active themselves and try out the traditional artificial flower craft. While ‘flower-making’, guests had the opportunity to prove their creativity and design original Sebnitz artificial flowers themselves.
This creative activity was very well received, and even prominent guests such as Interior Minister Armin Schuster and Conrad Clemens, Head of the State Chancellery, couldn’t resist trying their hand at the artificial flower craft.
