Following the award by the ‘Day of the Saxons’ Board of Trustees in December, the official handover of the baton by the President of the Saxon State Parliament, Dr. Matthias Rößler, took place in Sebnitz on January 18, 2024.
After a brief tour of the show manufactory in the ‘House of the German Artificial Flower’, the ceremonial signing of the agreement to host the ‘Day of the Saxons’ in Sebnitz in 2025 took place. Afterwards, the President of the State Parliament presented the ‘Day of the Saxons’ baton, on which all previous hosts are immortalized, to Mayor Ronald Kretzschmar.
In a short press briefing, information was provided on the current planning status and further proceedings.
